Abstract

Chez les chefs d'exploitation agricole, rare est la mobilité professionnelle, c'est-à-dire l'adoption à titre exclusif ou princlpal d'un emploi qul relève des catégories d'activité économique ou des catégories socio-professionnelles non agricoles. Dans la mesure où cette rareié se manifeste alors même que des emplois non agricoles sont disponibles et qu les exploitants agricoles considérés comme en surnombre ont les aptitudes nécessaires pour les occuper, il y a là une source de déséquilibre et de sous-développement économiques. L'inertie professionnelle contribue en effet à créer hors de l'agriculture, une pénurie de main-d'œuvre dans certaines branches, dans l'agriculture, une paupérisation des travailleurs et une évolution trop lente des structures d.e production.
