Abstract

The general purpose of this article was to identify the causes and origin of the crime of trafficking in persons in the municipality of Bucaramanga. Methodologically, it is Descriptive and Documentary research. The sources of information used in the development of the project are of a secondary nature, classified as follows: Indexed Journals, Scielo Articles and Scient direct, other degree theses, among others; that will contribute to obtain the results of the investigation. Additionally, articles on the subject were found, taking into account the proposed objectives. Finally, with the development of the investigation it is concluded that human trafficking in the city of Bucaramanga is a crime that mainly affects women, not only because it records the highest percentage of victims according to the information sources consulted.
