Abstract

L'entreprise doit baigner dans la prévision comme le poisson dans l'eau, et "l'esprit de prévision" devrait se développer en mêmetemps que "l'esprit de marketing" dont on dit - à voir l'abondante littérature dont il est l'objet - qu'il commence à souffler très fort...Acceptons-en l'augure si, par-delà 1es mots, des transformations véritables s'opèrent dans la formation et le comportement desdirigeants.Prévision et Marketing, voilà en effet deux mots fortement liés dans la mesure où le marketing va au-devant des besoins des consommateurs qu'il s'efforce de satisfaire de manière rentable. Il y a dans le marketing une attitude d' anticipation du futur, pour appréhender l'évolution des marchés et y adapter les produits offerts.Les méthodes de prévision, uti1isées naguère dans la seule macroéconomie, se développent donc de plus en plus pour apporter concrètement une aide aux entreprises dans la préparation et la prise de leurs décisions.Ces décisions peuvent être rangées en trois catégories bien distinctes : la stratégie ou préparation du futur qui doit assurer le développement à long terme de l'entreprise, la mise en oeuvre à court terme par laconstruction des budgets ,annuels, la gestion courante de très courtterme avec des décisions quasi quotidiennes.
