Abstract

La théorie des choix de consommation de Kelvin LANCASTER a récemment suscité un vif engouement parmi les économistes : élargissant la théorie néo-classique par la prise en considération des caractéristiques des biens consommés, la nouvelle approche possède un élément de supériorité certain sur l'analyse traditionnelle (LEVY-GARBOUA ; (1) - SIMON (2)).D'un point de vue opérationnel, le test du modèle semble poser des difficultés liées au caractère contraignant de certaines hypothèses. C'est du moins ce que cette réflexion vise à démontrer, après un bref rappel de la théorie.
