Abstract

Implement a quality approach for databases based on field surveys is a major issue for scientific community. Data is the support of studies. Hence, implement a quality approach translates into considering both quality issues and data life-cycle. Reliability, transferability, repeatability, sustainability, traceability have to be considered from questionnaire to the database availability. The aim of this charter is to propose a methodology for the scientific community, whatever the discipline. This methodology is based on Human and Social Science. It is there for transferable to any other using databases from field surveys. The originality of the approach is the interaction between quality issues and data-life steps of data collected through field surveys.
