Abstract

Knowledge on the economic structure is essential to understand the framework where economic activities take place. The analysis of the economic structure inolves to collect and to give consistency on fragmented information and disperse or incomplete data. That task has been made here, ordering and systematizing public disposable information from different sources. The final aim of this article is to set the basis in the construction of a regional social accountacy matrix. This has particular problems which adds to the input-output normal difficulties, such as the imputation of the economic activities to supra-regional agents, and the assessment of the extra-regional flows to the region and to the rest of the country. The study shows the lack of information on certain variables, and also advanced suggesting possible solutions to estimate those variables since existing data, and to determine them from estimates, studying to which extent this allows to advance in the construction of a regional general equilibrium model.
