Abstract

In response to the questioning of the traditional management control and the increase of the companies reactivity needs, a new management control approach has been developed : this management control is conceived to continuously adapt tools and analyses to the evolution of the managers problematics and their perceptions of reality. This research aims at precising the required oral communication competencies through the study of the existing relations between the job orientation and the oral communication practices. An exploratory quantitative survey, conducted towards 160 controllers, shows that to conduct some missions, controllers use a wide range of different techniques, considered as contradictory by communication specialists.
