Abstract

In this paper are discussed the concepts of qualification and professional competence in a complementary approach. It presents the adopted methodology for the identification and validation of a group of professional competencies in a complex working system. The study was made on the Services of Air Traffic Control of the Flight Information Region of Lisbon, and allowed the conclusion on the existence of an integrative dimension of work and technology components, as structuring elements in the professional competencies maps that are needed to the systemic integration of different agents (humans and technologies) in the productive process.
