Abstract

Le scepticisme vis-à-vis des pays émergents se porte bien en Occident, alors que les BRICS (Brésil, Russie, Inde, Chine, Afrique du Sud) sont, en un sens, nés à l'Ouest : Goldman Sachs n'est-il pas à l'origine de ce sigle ? Il est vrai que bien des pays de cette coalition traversent une zone de turbulence économique qui a même plongé la Russie dans la crise et le Brésil dans la récession. La Chine conserve un taux de croissance élevé mais la bulle spéculative est en train d'éclater et de tirer la bourse de Shanghai vers le bas. L'Inde résiste bien mais son insolent taux de croissance, en partie lié à un nouveau mode de calcul, ne se traduit pas encore en matière de développement socioéconomique ou de créations d'emplois.
