Abstract

Les négociations sur la nouvelle directive européenne « Télévision sans frontières » n'ont pas ouvert le débat que mérite la politique française du cinéma. Pourtant les Français vont voir, en nombre toujours grandissant, des films étrangers. Si ce vote, silencieux mais massif et constant, n'est pas perçu comme un échec de cette politique, c'est que beaucoup croient que le cinéma français va mieux que les autres cinémas européens, et que le mérite de cette santé relative revient à la politique poursuivie depuis quinze ans.
