Abstract

Akila, Agnès and François live or survive in Paris, in an indefinite future where strange digital clones take precedence over our daily lives. Akila is an Egyptian migrant, Agnès one of the leaders of the immersive platform called Zeta and François a lost writer. From a short story constructed in the manner of the Thousand and One Nights, the author proposes to reflect on the transformations of work and their modes of organization at work in the present of our managerial capitalism. It invites readers to ask themselves an essential question: what future society are we already shaping in the present of our desires?
