Abstract

Our text focuses on territorial evolution of scientific employment in french companies, and analyses current regional policies. The scientific workforce experienced a relative deconcentration at the beginninf of the 21st century in France. It is accompanied by a growing metropolization within the regions. Despite public policies supporting R&D funding for companies seeking territorial balance, regional policies often fail to limit the impact of metropolization on social inequalities. The support of companies concerned with the common good and solidarity is therefore necessary.
