Abstract

In 2021, the PSA group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles are joining strengths to create Stellantis, who becomes the 4th largest car manufacturer in the world. The new company benefits from the rich heritage of both groups, with a portfolio of 16 car brands and a strong presence in Europe and America. The announced objectives for the merger are ambitious. This case-study provides detailed information about the PSA group, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the merger between the two car manufacturers. Students are asked to conduct a strategic diagnosis, to elaborate the organizational structure for Stellantis and to formulate recommendations to succeed the integration process of the two groups.
