Abstract

La crise du coronavirus a exacerbé les débats sur les effets de la concentration économique qui se développaient depuis ces dernières années. Non seulement il est probable que la crise n'aggrave la tendance, mais les questions sur les capacités de contrôle public de ce phénomène de concentrations restent en suspens. Quels sont les déterminants et les effets de cette tendance ? Quelles doivent être et quelles peuvent être les réponses des pouvoirs publics ? Les règles de concurrence suffisent-elles à contrecarrer une concentration du pouvoir économique qui pourrait conduire à l'épuisement du processus de concurrence ? Doit-on ajouter à la sanction des pratiques anticoncurrentielles et au contrôle des concentrations des outils de régulation sectorielle voire imposer des remèdes structurels, pouvant aller jusqu'au démantèlement d'acteurs dominants ?
