Stratégies écologiques de la distribution alimentaire au Royaume-Uni

Abstract

De nombreux auteurs louent les vertus des politiques d'environnement pour bénéficier d'avantages concurrentiels. Les entreprises qui ont été étudiées, cependant, ne représentent qu'une faible proportion de celles qui ont effectivement envisagé la mise en place de stratégies écologiques. L'auteur montre que les entreprises qui souhaitent faire preuve d'une plus grande responsabilité à l'égard de l'environnement, sans vouloir nécessairement être des leadership, peuvent y parvenir par la mise en place de dispositifs de responsabilisation interne. Cet article met en évidence les pressions environnementales auxquelles sont confrontées les entreprises, et, ensuite, indique les conditions qui leur permettraient de prendre plus facilement d'importantes responsabilités. Les données sont issues d'interviews semi-directives réalisées auprès de douze des quatorze principaux distributeurs alimentaires au Royaume-Uni.
