Abstract

Comment réduire les inégalités et mieux répartir les revenus ? Comment faire pour que chacun récupère sa « part de rente » ?Dans ce livre, Philippe Askenazy nous le démontre : la distribution actuelle des richesses est loin d'être naturelle ; elle résulte de l'explosion des rentes et de leur captation par les acteurs les mieux dotés du jeu économique. Sous couvert de démocratiser la propriété (« tous propriétaires »), on a laissé quelques entreprises – et derrière elles des individus – s'emparer de nos données (« tout propriété »). Dans cette course à la rente, nous dit-il, le monde du travail est le grand perdant : tandis que de nombreux emplois alimentent les rentes capitalistiques par un surcroît de productivité, ils sont stigmatisés comme improductifs et leurs rémunérations stagnent.Au-delà de l'affaiblissement nécessaire du « tout propriété », Philippe Askenazy invite le monde du travail à se remobiliser. Car, contrairement aux idées reçues, ce dernier n'est ni éclaté ni amorphe. Et à l'heure où le capitalisme s'enfonce dans une crise déflationniste, réhabiliter ceux qui portent la croissance par leurs efforts est tout simplement un impératif de survie.Un livre économique très fort, mais aussi un livre de combat pour tenter de répartir plus équitablement les richesses.
