Après une introduction qui aborde la question du multiculturalisme, il aborde successivement : A propos du Traité sur la tolérance de Michael Walzer ; A propos de Will Kymlicka et du multiculturalisme ; Conclusion sur les travaux de « l'école néo-libérale américaine » et du parcours autour du concept de tolérance.
