Abstract

A l'occasion de la journée de lutte contre le gaspillage alimentaire le 16 Octobre 2018, le rôle des dates de péremption dans le gaspillage des ménages français a été largement mis en avant, et en particulier celui de la date de durabilité minimale (DDM) qui poserait plus particulièrement problème. Nous nous sommes interrogés sur l'intégration de ces deux mentions dans le quotidien des consommateurs. Se pose la question à la fois de leurs habitudes quant à leur utilisation, et de l'impact de variables individuelles comme la pleine conscience ou la pression temporelle. Cette recherche vise à répondre à ces interrogations à l'aide d'une expérimentation inter-sujets réalisée auprès de 155 répondants. Cette expérimentation montre qu'il n'existe aucune différence dans les habitudes d'utilisation des DLC et des DDM, elle prouve aussi le rôle de la pleine conscience dans les habitudes en matière de dates de péremption. Les voies de recherche sont présentées.
