Abstract

[...] Sans multiplier les exemples, il apparaît que toutes les formes de mobilités géographiques s'accompagnent d'images et de représentations diversifiées qui varient selon le lieu, la manière dont elles se déroulent et les populations qu'elles concernent, révélant l'ambiguïté de la mobilité aujourd'hui. Ainsi, ce ne sont pas seulement les pratiques de mobilités spatiales qui sont nombreuses et multiformes, mais aussi la manière dont les individus se les représentent et les imaginent. Tel est le thème du présent dossier : la mobilité, ses représentations et ses imaginaires. Il fait suite au colloque organisé en novembre 2012 à Lausanne (Suisse) par le Groupe de travail n°23 de l'AISLF, « Mobilités spatiales et fluidité sociale » sur le thème des représentations et imaginaires de la mobilité. Dans la continuité de ce colloque, il vise ainsi à questionner la valorisation ambiguë de la mobilité, à révéler les imaginaires associés aux différentes formes de mobilité spatiale et à les confronter aux réalités des pratiques.
