Abstract

Convaincues d'un lien entre mobilités transnationales et employabilité des jeunes, les politiques publiques incitent ces derniers à partir à l'étranger pendant leurs études. L'exploitation de l'enquête Céreq "Génération 2010, interrogation en 2013 des sortants de 2010", révèle, d'une part, la diversité de ces expériences, concentrées dans le supérieur et d'autre part, qu'il est difficile de conclure à une plus-value sur l'insertion professionnelle. Et encore plus lorsqu'il s'agit de les replacer dans l'histoire des mobilités géographiques intervenant au long du parcours scolaire et professionnel. Néanmoins, en contrôlant les caractéristiques de ces trajectoires, les expériences à l'étranger d'une durée longue apportent un faible gain salarial pour les jeunes qui n'ont pas connu d'autre mobilité géographique pendant leurs études ou après.
