Abstract

Cet article est consacré à une lecture pragmatique d'une méthodologie participative d'élaboration d'indicateurs de bien-être, la méthode SPIRAL, proposée par le Conseil de l'Europe. Notre lecture établit des proximités épistémologiques et méthodologiques avec le processus de formation des valeurs issu des travaux du philosophe pragmatiste J. Dewey. Nous montrons notamment que cette méthode amène les participants à enquêter, au sens donné par J. Dewey à ce terme, sur les valeurs. Nous nous interrogeons pour terminer sur les pistes de réflexion laissées ouvertes par cette méthodologie.
