Abstract

Growth, urban transition, and atmospheric pollution in China The aim of this paper is to analyze, using the methodology of the environmental Kuznets curve (EKC), the impacts of structural variables such as urbanization and environmental regulations on the emissions of SO2 and particulate matter for thirty Chinese provinces over the period 2005-2011, a period which saw major changes in terms of government regulation.
