Abstract

Cette note de lecture relève le côté engagé de l'ouvrage "Sortir l'Afrique de la servitude monétaire. À qui profite le franc CFA ?" qui réunit les contributions de chercheurs africains et européens. Elle souligne l'intérêt de ce livre pour ceux qui travaillent sur les problèmes monétaires des économies dites "en développement". L'ouvrage s'articule autour d'éléments de théorie monétaire hétérodoxe (en particulier autour de la lecture de l'institutionnalisme monétaire), de la présentation de faits stylisés quant à la situation des économies africaines qui utilisent le franc CFA, ainsi que d'une analyse des problèmes économiques et politiques que pose l'organisation monétaire du franc CFA pour les quinze économies africaines concernées.
