Abstract

Edwin Walter Kemmerer (1875-1945) es conocido por su rol comomoney doctorprincipalmente en América Latina en los años veinte, en particular por las reformas que llevó a cabo en Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador y Perú. Sin embargo él es menos conocido por su papel como economista teórico. El principal objetivo de este artículo es mostrar la contribución de Kemmerer como consejero y como teórico monetario.
