Mutations du travail et revenu social garanti comme revenu primaire

Abstract

La crise systémique qui traverse le capitalisme contemporain nous impose de penser non seulement des alternatives sur le plan des politiques de court terme, mais aussi des réformes structurelles susceptibles de poser les jalons d'un modèle de société alternatif. Dans ce cadre, pour répondre à l'épuisement de la société salariale fondée sur ce qu'André Gorz nommait le « travail-emploi », la proposition d'un revenu ou salaire social garanti, inconditionnel et indépendant de l'emploi, pourrait avoir un rôle important – à condition de bien préciser ses fondements et le projet de société dans lequel il s'inscrit. Le propos de cet article est de définir les piliers d'une approche émancipatrice du revenu social garanti (RSG) en les inscrivant dans le cadre de la mutation actuelle du travail. Le RSG est alors pensé à la fois comme un instrument de démarchandisation de l'économie, une institution du commun et un revenu primaire représentant la reconnaissance sociale d'un travail aujourd'hui non rémunéré, ce qui implique une remise en cause de la conception réductrice encore dominante de la notion de travail productif.
