La Russie et l'Union Européenne : l'économie peut-elle venir au secours de la diplomatie ?

Abstract

Depuis 2012, la croissance économique russe montrait des signes d'essoufflement. Celui-ci a été confirmé en 2013 avec un taux de croissance situé loin des ambitions de l'exécutif. L'année 2014 devait être celle du redressement : elle aura été celle du basculement dans la crise. Indirectement, les sanctions occidentales ont également contribué au gel de nombre de projets d'investissement ou d'exportation vers la Russie en accélérant le retrait des établissements financiers occidentaux, qui ont préféré le risque de « surconformité » aux règlementations occidentales plutôt que s'exposer aux effets de la « jurisprudence BNP » . Mais dans sa dimension systémique, la crise économique subie actuellement par la Russie s'explique par des facteurs qui ne sont que marginalement liés aux sanctions.
