Abstract

Pour des raisons historiques, les relations entre l'Université et la défense n'ont jamais été simples. En raison d'une méfiance réciproque, les rapprochements entre recherche universitaire et recherche stratégique ont toujours eu des difficultés à se réaliser, malgré de nombreux projets souvent pertinents. Or, malgré des échecs et des approches tant conceptuelles que matérielles distinctes, des progrès ont été enregistrés peu à peu, autour du site de l'Ecole militaire. A l'heure de nouvelles évolutions à venir pour la défense française, il est souhaitable de profiter d'une nouvelle ambition pour concrétiser cette idée depuis longtemps attendue, mais dont la réalisation devient aujourd'hui un impératif.
