Abstract

The traditional governance system in Kabylia in the light of the social capital concept This research deals with the possible substitution of the informal civil social capital for the governmental social capital in Kabylia. We study the case of two villages : Tazrouts and Zouvga. Our results show that the ancestral berber governance system creates bonding and bridging ties that are important in terms of local development, specifically in rural areas.
