Abstract

Nous constatons souvent que l'audit social peut conduire à accroître les tensions entre les objectifs sociaux et les objectifs économiques. Cela est particulièrement le cas en ce qui concerne l'audit de la qualité de vie au travail, surtout à une époque où la pression mise sur les personnes est de plus en plus forte à la fois dans et hors de la vie professionnelle. Toutefois, la méthode d'audit socio-économique montre qu'il y a des marges de manœuvre pour éviter les effets pervers de la multiplication des facteurs de stress. En particulier, nous illustrons par l'exemple d'un audit dans une entreprise de chimie la façon dont la haute qualité du management socio-économique permet à la fois d'améliorer les conditions de vie au travail tout en obtenant des accroissements considérables de performances économiques à court terme et à long terme.
