Abstract

This paper shows how the French aeronautic industry transformations made necessary outsourcing and subsidiaries creation abroad to seek for competitive costs. New proximity localizations in South Mediterranean countries are attractive to French subcontractors. Among these countries, Morocco had placed aeronautics as a priority in its new industrial policy as it appears in Emergence Program. This new industrial Policy is built around French industry outsourcing needs and provides a lot of advantages to foreign investors. Moroccan aeronautic sector whose main actors are French subsidiaries, is growing rapidly. Aeronautic firms are concentrated in Casablanca and its region. We used a qualitative survey to know the attractivity factors that have been determinant in choosing Morocco and to analyze the territorial impacts of aeronautic industry development in Casablanca.
