Abstract

If home-help associations were in a quasi-monopolistic position on this special service sector since the 1940s, they now coexist with other forms of companies (private companies have developed considerably their activities since 2005) and other conditions of employment (including direct employment, in wich the user is the home helper's employer). In this variety of organizations, this paper deals with the nature of the services provided by associations : what are their specificities ? We propose to analyse the specific nature of the services provided by associations in term of "uses-centered relationship". This concept argues that users have a specific place in this relationship.
