Abstract

Accelerated globalisation has led multinational firms to revisit their location strategies. The authors of this article show that these changes have resulted in a greater geographic dispersion of activities and the fragmentation of the value chain. Three key issues are more specifically developed regarding location decisions for an expanded global space: the benefits of colocation, the determinants of location and the attractiveness of territories.
