Abstract

Which are the characteristics of the managers, and more particularly of companies in hypergrowth? First, the concept of hypergrowth is defined (1), then an inventory of the psychological traits of the leaders is proposed. For most of the authors, the features characteristics of the leaders have a direct link with the growth of the company, for others, the impact is not important, even non-existent (2). Thanks to a review of literature published on the topics of growth and hypergrowth, the authors seek to understand if the leaders of rapid growing companies have distinctive features, and if rapid growth is primarily founded on psychological characteristics specific to the leaders (3). They conclude that the leader plays a dominant role in rapid growth but more investigation on the topic is needed.
