Abstract

La théorie enracinée est une méthodologie d'analyse générale qui permet de proposer une théorie à partir de phénomènes identifiés de façon empirique. Nous proposons de questionner la possibilité liée à la mobilisation de la théorie enracinée pour aborder des phénomènes complexes. Nous utiliserons l'étude du concept de sens de façon empirique pour évaluer l'adhérence, la possibilité d'innovation et de généralisation de la théorie enracinée issue de l'opérationnalisation et d'une première modélisation du concept de sens. Nous montrons en quoi la théorie enracinée doit se détacher de la référence à l'induction pure pour passer à une alternance induction - déduction pour parvenir à des résultats à la hauteur de son potentiel de découverte et de rigueur scientifique.
