Normalisation et mondialisation : le cas de la prise en compte de l'environnement naturel par les entreprises

Abstract

De plus en plus d'entreprises prennent en compte l'environnement naturel dans leur gestion et dans leur communication. Ce papier de recherche s'interroge sur le rôle joué par la mondialisation dans cette évolution. Deux constats s'imposent à l'observateur. D'une part, la mondialisation tient une place importante dans le processus de normalisation des pratiques, aussi bien en gestion environnementale qu'en communication environnementale. D'autre part, l'appartenance à un groupe international a une influence notable sur les déterminants et le processus d'adoption des normes liées à l'environnement par les entreprises. Ce dernier constat s'appuie sur une étude terrain réalisée auprès d'organismes certifiés ISO 14001.
