Honoraires de conseil et gestion des résultats : Etude du cas français

Abstract

La réalisation de mission de conseil par les cabinets d'audit a donné lieu à une importante littérature académique et professionnelle car elle pourrait remettre en cause l'indépendance des auditeurs légaux. A partir d'un échantillon de 213 sociétés cotées entre 2002 et 2004, une analyse des honoraires de conseil montre une différence significative avec la situation anglo-saxonne. De plus, l'étude met en évidence les principaux déterminants au recours à ces missions de conseil et aux montants des honoraires versés. Nous montrons alors une absence de lien entre la gestion des résultats et les honoraires de conseil.
