Abstract

El incremento de la participación socioeconómica femenina constituye un requisito indispensable en el empeño de alcanzar mayores niveles de desarrollo en la actualidad. Presentamos una panorámica comparativa de su evolución en los últimos años en determinados países latinoamericanos, constatando que a pesar de los logros obtenidos en materia de educación que equilibran la situación de mujeres y hombres, persisten importantes diferencias en las oportunidades y el grado de participación socioeconómica femenina.
