Chine et changement climatique : la mise en œuvre des Mécanismes pour un Développement Propre (MDP)
Abstract
Cet article se propose de faire le point sur un mécanisme prévu par le protocole de Kyoto pour intégrer dans le processus global de réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre, des pays non engagés dans des objectifs quantifiés de diminution. Les Mécanismes pour un Développement Propre (MDP) visent à permettre à un pays de l'Annexe 1 ayant ratifié le Protocole, de procéder à des réductions d'émissions dans un pays en développement. Depuis leur mise en place en 2005, ces MDP bénéficient principalement aux "grands émergents". La Chine, première destination, s'organise pour tirer avantage de cette nouvelle procédure en bénéficiant notamment de transferts de technologie.
