La Qualité De L'Audit Externe Et La Notion De Significativité: Étude Exploratoire

Abstract

L'objectif de ce papier est de proposer un indicateur de mesure direct de la qualité d'audit externe qui est le seuil de signification. Pour répondre aux nouvelles orientations imposées par les récentes régulations économiques, un rapport d'audit légal de qualité doit répondre au critère de significativité (matérialité) des anomalies par rapport aux décisions qui peuvent être prises par les utilisateurs des états financiers. La notion de significativité des anomalies occupe une place fondamentale dans un processus d'audit et permet d'adapter les travaux menés à l'entité auditée. Une étude exploratoire auprès de 20 professionnels de l'audit légal nous a permis d'explorer les rapports étroits entre la notion des significativité et la qualité d'une mission de certification des états financiers.
