Abstract

A partir de cinq expériences d'indigénisation d'une monnaie allogène (dans la Russie du Nord antibolchévique en 1918, en Argentine en 1991, en Lituanie en 1994, à Hong-Kong en 1983, en Estonie en 1992 et en Bulgarie en 1997), ce chapitre expose trois points touchant à la souveraineté monétaire et aux moyens pour la restaurer : l'importance des dimensions politiques des crises monétaires ; le rôle des idées reçues sur le mode de légitimation des solutions adoptées pour résoudre la crise ; le rapport de ces solutions aux fondements de la souveraineté monétaire.
