Abstract

Après la présentation de la ville de Ouagadougou et de son système de transport, l'auteur analyse la mobilité quotidienne et les usages des différents modes de transports dans cette ville, en axant ce rapport de recherche sur la bicyclette afin de déterminer les caractéristiques de son usage et de ses utilisateurs. Les appréciations du vélo par la population seront abordées à travers les résultats des enquêtes auprès des ménages, d'individus et de leaders d'opinion. La situation à Koudougou est comparée avec celle de la capitale. L'auteur tente finalement de voir si le vélo peut avoir un avenir à Ouagadougou, avec ou sans une politique volontariste d'incitation à son usage dans la ville.
