Abstract

J'ai écrit cet ouvrage alors que j'enseignais les sciences économiques et sociales en Première et Terminale au Lycée français de Bruxelles. Il s'adresse à un public de lycéens, notamment à ceux qui choisissent l'enseignement de spécialité de SES. Cet enseignement porte sur l'histoire de la pensée en économie et en sociologie et met particulièrement l'accent sur quelques auteurs importants de ces disciplines (Marx, Durkheim, Weber, Malthus, Ricardo, Schumpeter, Keynes, Friedman, Bourdieu, Tocqueville, Boudon...). Il m'avait semblé interessant alors de ne pas présenter ces auteurs un par un comme s'il s'était agi de monuments isolés dans l'histoire intellectuelle des sciences sociales, mais plutôt de les opposer autour de grandes questions et de débats qui ont structuré ces sciences. Les thèmes de débat choisis sont par ailleurs en correspondance assez étroite avec les thèmes du programme de SES de Terminale.
