Abstract

Le retour de l'inflation, à des taux jamais atteints depuis plus de 40 ans, fait légitimement naître des débats sur les causes des hausses de prix, leurs conséquences économiques et sociales et sur les mesures de politique économique pour y faire face. En effet, quand l'inflation atteint des niveaux élevés, elle devient un point de préoccupation majeur en raison de ses effets néfastes sur le pouvoir d'achat des ménages (si les prix augmentent plus vite que les salaires) et sur la compétitivité des entreprises, et génère des tensions sur la question du partage de la valeur ajoutée.
