Abstract

Metropolisierung und Kommerzarchipele Der Kontext wachsender wirtschaftlicher Konkurrenz und zum Allgemeingut gewordener Mobilität führt die großen Einzelhandelsunternehmen dazu, den räumlichen Gegebenheiten weniger Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken als der just-in-time-Verwaltung der Lagerbestände. Das Autobahnnetz zeichnet die Vertriebskarte der Stadtregionen vor. An seinen Knotenpunkten siedeln sich neue Zentren an, die zu den älteren Stadtkernen in Konkurrenz-oder Komplementärbeziehungen treten. Diese Kommerzarchipele gestalten die Stadt von morgen.
