La transition énergétique « aux caractéristiques chinoises » : dimensions géopolitiques d’une politique publique

Abstract

Premier pays consommateur et importateur d'énergie au monde, la Chine demeure très dépendante des approvisionnements étrangers, de pétrole et de gaz en particulier, afin de maintenir sa croissance économique. Cette vulnérabilité liée à l'acheminement des ressources, combinée aux dégradations environnementales dans les milieux ruraux et à la pollution de l'air dans les grands ensembles d'agglomération, a contraint la Chine à une transition énergétique. S'appuyant sur des entretiens et des documents officiels de la République Populaire de Chine (RPC), cet article vise à contextualiser historiquement la réorientation du modèle énergétique chinois et analyser les répercussions internationales de cette politique publique.
