Abstract

L'objectif de cette étude est de comprendre les dynamiques de l'espace de soins de patients en situation de vulnérabilité. Soixante-cinq entretiens qualitatifs semi-directifs ont été conduits avec des participants d'un centre d'examen de santé. Les expériences positives ou néatives dans le système de soins construisent les représentations et perceptions du système de soins du patient, notamment en situation de vulnérabilité. De plus, l'entourage social du patient constitue une ressource sociale aussi déterminante du rapport du patient aux soins. Ainsi, la création d'un espace de soins positif ou « safe space » dans lequel règnent les piliers du care constitue une étape clé de l'empowerment du patient.
