De l'attachement à la performance : un modèle et son illustration

Abstract

Dans le foisonnement des théories de la motivation apparaît d'une façon incidente mais récurrente le terme d'attachement. A l'examen, le chercheur est conduit à formuler l'hypothèse que l'attachement transforme le collectif de travail en une communauté et que les dévouements qui s'y manifestent alors sont source de performance pour le groupe. Le modèle est illustré par la comparaison de trois cas de collectifs de travail distingués d'une part par leur performance et d'autre part par la présence ou l'absence d'attachement. La discussion permet d'approfondir le modèle et dégage les attitudes qui favorisent l'attachement : respect, bienveillance, autorité naturelle.
