Abstract

Les Disability Studies oscillent entre des modèles quantitatifs qui peinent à conclure sur la prééminence de tel ou tel construit du comportement organisationnel et des études qualitatives cherchant à justifier telle ou telle mesure d'inclusion au regard du ressenti des personnes handicapées. La prise en compte de la dimension identitaire du processus de deuil pourrait permettre de dépasser cette difficulté : quand, par son ajustement au malheur, la personne handicapée aura pu unifier ses identités sociale (les caractéristiques que les autres lui attribuent) et narrative (le récit qu'elle fait de sa vie), elle ne percevra plus les aides spécifiques (soutien social, adaptation de poste, etc.) comme discriminatoires, car elle aura donné du sens à sa vie et en évitera le mal-être associé à son handicap. Il est possible que sa contribution au travail s'en ressente alors. La présente communication présente une revue de littérature des Disability Studies et problématise la question du deuil en matière de comportement organisationnel des travailleurs handicapés.
