Abstract

Skrze postavu zpěváka Prince, vlastním jménem Rogera Nelsona (1958-2016) přezdívaného často jako tzv. Love Symbol, je možné nahlédnout na komplexní síť vztahů mezi samotným umělcem a chováním celebrity. Skutečnost, že získal popularitu po celém světě, sebou nesla i touhu kontrolovat image, vymezovat se vůči nahrávací společnosti, vytvářet nová marketingová schémata. Paisley Park (Minneapolis - Chanhassen) se nyní díky zpřístupnění a zvýšenému zájmu turistů stává novým polem k rekonstrukci Princova života a popularity. Tento avantgardní zpěvák se svými charakteristickými způsoby komunikace a vyjadřováním na pódiu nabízí široký výběr témat k akademickému výzkumu budoucích generací.
