Abstract

Après avoir décliné durant plusieurs décennies, le transport fluvial connaît un renouveau, notamment pour les conteneurs et pour les déchets. L'article considère la place de ce transport dans la filière déchets, depuis la collecte jusqu'au transport de produits issus de leur traitement. Il se focalise sur les ordures ménagères. Dans certaines configurations territoriales spécifiques, avec des conditions géographiques et démographiques favorables, le transport fluvial constitue une solution qui, grâce au soutien politique de certains acteurs, peut être pérenne.
